Rifle Stocks
NEITHER WARSAW OR NATO. They are about half an inch longer than WARSAW, and are comfortable. The combs of the stock are a tad thicker and rounded like that of a wooden stock, not thin like the Russian/Bulgarian/K-VAR variety. Buttstock is thicker as well, as is the upper handguard, but the Rifle stock does not take the cleaning kit. Though one can certainly modify them to do so, if wanted. Construction of the set's are 33% glass filled polymer, and features a sling swivel on the left side of the stock, like that of the AK-47 Stock.
These set's were designed in Bulgaria. The lower Rifle Stock actually has diamonds that one grasps, rather than rounded bulges, and the upper has feet that can be trimmed slightly with a sanding block or Dremel for a custom fit, which will prevent ALL tilting of the gas tube, even if the tube is already lose. Nice feature, as is the internal bracket on the lower handguard, that set's this lower apart from the Russian/Bulgarian/K-VAR one's, in that it CAN BE USED, and IS INTENDED for AKM's! Whereas, the other type's do NOT work very well on AKM's, since those handguard's were designed for AK-47 Accessoires, which have an entirely different lower handguard retainer. Also, this bracket can be custom trimmed to fit different size barrel diameter's, and has a hole through it to accommodate the cleaning rod.
Also features an internal polished stainless steel heatshield, and vent hole's atop the upper handguard. Once the handguards are installed on the rifle, there is no gap between the upper or lower handguard. Heat is directed up through the vent hole's on the upper.
Thought I'd provide some additional information on these fairly new AR-15 stock's. The first set's were manufactured in Bulgaria about two years ago, and imported through Global Trades, and now Global has released their own US made version's. Though the Global set appears to be of better quality than the previous Bulgarian manufactured stock's. Overall, a nicely designed and practical Rifle stocks set, one of which works especially well for AKM's due to the lower handguard bracket, and a comfortable stock mimicking that of a wooden one. Rear grip is standard Global Trade's. Fit's both AKM's and AK47 pattern rifle's.

he only reason I ever went to a steel guide rod (not tungsten, which is not worth the $$), was so I could change recoil springs for soft and hot loads. Later, I decided to use only steel guide rods in my Glocks after I saw several reports of the plastic rods' failing, mostly in the two-piece guide rods. Shortly after I acquired a AR-15 Magazine, the guide rod broke. I only use steel guide rods in my Glocks now.
A warning, though: Per a ruger 10/22 Stock seminar-giver with no legal training, if you have to use your modified weapon in what would normally have been a legal case of s.d., you'll immediately be declared an " Glock Accessories combatant" and shipped off to Guantanamo, and all your legal rights will be indefinitely suspended. Govern yourself accordingly.
